La Fundación Armonía Colectiva (FAC) fue constituida en noviembre de 2017 por la cantante y gestora cultural María Amalia Quesada Chavarría y el músico José Arturo Soto Gamboa. Esta iniciativa surge gracias a un proceso de experiencias y cuestionamientos que motivaron a replantear la filosofía musical y artística de los fundadores. Su colaboración con varias organizaciones profundizó su conocimiento sobre la utilización de la música como agente de cambio social, para así crear un proyecto en Costa Rica con esta filosofía. La fundación tiene la misión de fortalecer el desarrollo integral comunitario por medio de programas educativos musicales y proyectos culturales que promuevan un espacio de aprendizaje integral, creativo y humanista para contribuir con la concientización, interacción e inclusión social en Costa Rica. Actualmente, la fundación cuenta con seis proyectos que están aportando nuevas perspectivas al sector cultural costarricense: el programa educativo Orquesta Juventud Esperanza, el Festival Internacional de Jazz de Costa Rica (FIJAZZ), el programa de voluntariado, el programa de becas YASP (Young Artist Scholarship Program) y los proyectos EMPOCULTURA (Empoderamiento Cultural y Música Creativa para el Desarrollo Humano de San Pablo de Heredia) y AMAB (Arte para el Medio Ambiente y Bienestar). Además, en el 2019 se adoptó la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible impulsada por las Naciones Unidas, con la intención de fortalecer la paz universal y el acceso a la justicia. 


The Collective Harmony Foundation (FAC) was established in November 2017 by the singer and cultural manager María Amalia Quesada Chavarría and the musician José Arturo Soto Gamboa. This initiative arises thanks to a process of experiences and questions that motivated us to rethink the musical and artistic philosophy of the founders. His collaboration with various organizations deepened his knowledge about the use of music as an agent of social change, thus creating a project in Costa Rica with this philosophy. The foundation's mission is to strengthen comprehensive community development through musical educational programs and cultural projects that promote a comprehensive, creative and humanistic learning space to contribute to awareness, interaction and social inclusion in Costa Rica. Currently, the foundation has six projects that are bringing new perspectives to the Costa Rican cultural sector: the educational program Orquesta Juventud Esperanza, the International Jazz Festival of Costa Rica (FIJAZZ), the volunteer program, the YASP scholarship program (Young Artist Scholarship Program) and the EMPOCULTURA (Cultural Empowerment and Creative Music for Human Development of San Pablo de Heredia) and AMAB (Art for the Environment and Well-being) projects. In addition, in 2019 the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development promoted by the United Nations was adopted, with the intention of strengthening universal peace and access to justice.
