La Fundación Danilo Pérez, con RUC 827070-1-22430 DV7, con resueltos del Ministerio de Gobierno #589-168, Ministerio de Desarrollo Social #261 y Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas #201-2745, fue establecida en el año 2005 en la Ciudad de Panamá, República de Panamá, pero el trabajo y espíritu que personifica su misión tienen sus orígenes hace mas de 50 años cuando Danilo Pérez Urriola, padre del pianista Panameño del mismo nombre, desarrolló programas de educación musical en Colón, Panamá con jóvenes en riesgo. En 1967, el profesor Danilo Pérez Urriola, escribe una tesis para la Universidad de Panamá sobre la música en el desarrollo integral del individuo y cómo la música debe ser incluida como una herramienta pedagógica para enseñar todas la materias de las escuelas oficiales. La base del trabajo de la Fundación es la educación musical y en términos más generales, el desarrollo humano sostenible. Su propósito es proveer oportunidades para que los jóvenes desarrollen su máximo potencial y lleven una vida productiva. Los valores y las actitudes que promueve la Fundación son esenciales en la educación e interpretación musical. El estudio, trabajo arduo, comprensión, autoevaluación, expresión, imaginación, disciplina, unidad grupal, respeto por las ideas y culturas del prójimo, voluntariado, son pilares fundamentales en la búsqueda de la excelencia, y los estudiantes de la Fundación trabajan continuamente en edificarlos.
The Danilo Pérez Foundation, with RUC 827070-1-22430 DV7, with resolutions of the Ministry of Government # 589-168, Ministry of Social Development # 261 and Ministry of Economy and Finance # 201-2745, was established in 2005 in Panama City, Republic of Panama, but the work and spirit that embodies its mission have its origins more than 50 years ago when Danilo Pérez Urriola, father of the Panamanian pianist of the same name, developed music education programs in Colón, Panama with young people in risk. In 1967, Professor Danilo Pérez Urriola wrote a thesis for the University of Panama on music in the integral development of the individual and how music should be included as a pedagogical tool to teach all subjects in official schools. The foundation of the Foundation's work is a music education and, more generally, sustainable human development. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for young people to develop their full potential and lead productive lives. The values and attitudes promoted by the Foundation are essential in musical education and performance. Studying, hard work, understanding, self-assessment, expression, imagination, discipline, group unity, respect for the ideas and cultures of others, volunteering, are fundamental pillars in the search for excellence, and the Foundation's students work continuously to build them.
