He studied with many teachers in Atlanta, including Sam Skelton, Mace Hibbard, Kevin Bales, and David Sanchez in Atlanta, and with Antonio Hart, David Berkman, and Michael Mossman at Queens College in New York City, where he earned a Master of Jazz.
